Washington residents offered free smoke and CO alarms

Fire Marshal Tom Osborne participated in Operation Save a Life today at the New Haven Fire Training School.

Operation Safe a Life is a joint effort between Kidde co., The Home Depot, WTNH TV,  and The Bridgeport Burn Center.  The focus of this joint effort is to provide Smoke alarms and CO alarms to every home in the state that doesn't have one.  To accomplish this, every year for the past 5 years, Operation Save a Life has been giving every fire marshal who applies, free smoke and CO alarms, This is the second year that I have attended this event and brought home smoke and CO alarms.

All anyone in town who needs a smoke alarm or Co alarm needs to do is call me and I will see that you get an alarm.  I am also willing to come to your home and talk to you about placement and any other concerns you have regarding fire safety in your home.
