Arts Council
The Arts Council is a sub-committee of the Washington Economic Development Committee. The members are appointed by the Board of Selectmen for an indefinite term. All meetings are public and Minutes and Agendas will be posted here.
The goal of the Arts Council is to "increase support of cultural institutions and community events in order to foster independent artists and craftspeople" Pg. 19 of the POCD. See the menu at the left for the full Mission Statement.
CONGRATULATIONS!
The CT Humanities Cultural Fund announced recipients of grants for 2023. Seven Washington organizations were awarded grants. ASAP, Common Ground with Jane Whitney, Gunn Memorial Library and Museum, Institute for American Indian Studies, Pilobolus, The Judy Black Memorial Park and Gardens and the Washington Art Association & Gallery.
