WARNING The voters and electors of the Town of Washington are hereby warned that a Special Town Meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2003 at 7:30 p.m. at Bryan Memorial Town Hall, Washington, Connecticut, to consider and act upon the following agenda:
TOWN OF WASHINGTON, CONNECTICUT
SPECIAL TOWN MEETING
- To designate the Board of Selectmen as the Traffic Authority of the Town of Washington, hereby giving such the authority to adopt regulations governing the operation and parking of motor vehicles on Town roads, specifically including, but not limited to, regulation of the speed, parking, fines, and towing. And further, that any police officer of the Town of Washington or the State of Connecticut be empowered to issue citations or a written warning for violations of any regulations adopted by the Board of Selectmen.
- To accept a .078 parcel of land from Realco, LLC, as shown as Parcel "A" on map entitled "17.292 Acres, Site Analysis Plan, Map Prepared for the Town of Washington, 10 Blackville Road, Washington, Connecticut, July, 2003"; and in consideration, therefore, to convey a .078 acre parcel of land, as shown as Parcel "B" on the said map, to Realco, LLC, Washington, Connecticut. And, further, to authorize the Board of Selectmen to sign any deed or other documents necessary to implement this resolution.
- To discontinue the following public highways pursuant to CGS 13a-49 for all public uses, except for and reserving to the Town and the public the passive recreational uses defined and permitted in CGS 13a-141(b), including construction and maintenance incidental thereto:
- That portion of former Old Litchfield Road, running parallel to the present Old Litchfield Road, between Blackville Road to the southern boundary of parcel 3-8/53 on the Washington Assessor's maps.
- That portion of West Mountain Road between Nettleton Hollow and the eastern boundary of parcel 2-2/08 of the Washington Assessor's maps.
- That portion of Potash Hill Road between Nettleton Hollow Road and the berm located at the tree line south of the present driveway on Parcel 2-4/16 on the Washington Assessor's maps.
- That portion of Curtis Road between Tunnel Road and the western boundary of Parcel 05-4/11 on the Washington Assessor's maps.
- That portion of Bantam River Road, also known as Lower Mount Tom Road, between Romford Road to the western boundary of Parcel 2-12/68 on the Washington Assessor's maps.
- That unimproved segment of Tinker Hill Road between the northern corner of parcel 11-7/16 and the southern corner of parcel 11-7/28, which segment is located between West Shore and Loomarwick Roads, and that unimproved segment of Tinker Hill Road between the southeastern corner of parcel 12-6/05 and the southwestern corner of parcel 6-14/07, which segment is located between Loomarwick and Gunn Hill Roads, as designated on the Washington Assessor's maps.
