Shepaug River Stipulated Judgment and Settlement Agreement With The City Of Waterbury

Richard Sears,First Selectman, called the meeting to order at 9:25 p.m., said meeting having followed an informational meeting which began at 7:30 p.m.

The first order of business as the election of a Moderator. Nominations were opened and Nicholas Solley was nominated. With no further nominations, nominations were closed and Mr. Solley was duly elected Moderator.

MR. SOLLEY: Thank you, very much. I will ask the Clerk, Janet Wildman, to read the Call.

THE CLERK: TOWN OF WASHINGTON SPECIAL TOWN MEETING SHEPAUG RIVER SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT The voters and electors of the Town of Washington are hereby warned that a special town meeting will be held on April 12, 2005 immediately following the informational meeting which begins at 7:30 p.m., to consider and act upon a resolution authorizing the First Selectman to execute on behalf of the Town of Washington the Stipulated Judgment and Settlement Agreement to resolve the matter of the City of Waterbury versus the Town of Washington, et al, as currently drafted and presented at the Town Meeting. A copy of the agreement is available at the Office of the Town Clerk. DATED at Washington, Connecticut this 6th day of April, 2005. Richard C. Sears, Nicholas N. Solley, Harry H. Wyant, Board of Selectmen.

MR. SOLLEY: The first order of business is the Resolution. Mr. Sears?

MR. SEARS: Resolved: To authorize the First Selectman to execute the Stipulated Judgment and Settlement Agreement regarding the Shepaug river between the City of Waterbury and the Town of Washington, et al.

MR. SOLLEY: Is there a second? The Resolution was seconded. Any comments or discussion? Any questions? If not, all those in favor please say aye. Opposed?

RESOLUTION PASSED UNANIMOUSLY.

Motion was made and passed to adjourn. The meeting adjourned at 9:27 p.m.
