The Board of Assessment Appeals reminds all property owners that anyone wishing to seek an adjustment of the assessed value of their property in Washington must file a request for a hearing before the Board of Assessment Appeals.

A form to request a hearing can be obtained from the Tax Assessor's office in Bryan Memorial Town Hall, or may be downloaded here:

Completed forms with documentation must be submitted in February (see Form above for exact date). Then individual appointments to meet with the Board are scheduled to take place during the month of March. Residents may authorize an agent to represent them before the Board. Owner or agent must appear in person for appeal to be considered.
